LINTEC HQ Profile

LINTEC Corporation (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 7966) has been a leading Japanese manufacturing company for over 70 years and produces an extremely diverse range of adhesive products for customers in a wide range of industries, including healthcare, automotive, electronics industries, label printing, signage and advertising, home and business interior décor, and many more.

We also develop and manufacture a variety of equipment, specially designed to optimize our label materials and tapes, such as label-printing machines, packaging machines and electronic systems. This integrated approach to producing both quality materials and the equipment to maximize those products ensures an efficient and productive synergy for all our customers.

Developing Highly Original Products
By combining its four core technologies -pressure-sensitive adhesive applications, material quality and functionality enhancement, specialty paper and converted paper and film production, and systems development - LINTEC has created a diverse range of high-value-added products. In April 2004, we substantially expanded our R&D Laboratories, and we have begun to enhance our research facilities and increase the number of research personnel. To respond rapidly to changes in the market environment, we are working to develop innovative, new market-creating products and to solve technical challenges more quickly.

Accelerating The Globalization
LINTEC has sales offices and manufacturing facilities in 13 countries worldwide to serve our customers directly. Our production facilities are ISO certified and we continue to maintain the highest production and quality control standards. To this day, despite the economic changes, LINTEC is accelerating the globalization of its operations, centered on China and other Asian markets. We are working to expand our global network in accordance with the concept of local production, where we manufacture products in locations that are closer to our customers.

Meeting Environmental Protection Measures
LINTEC is also devising dynamic strategies to reduce the environmental burden of its operations, such as the reduction of CO2 emissions, the strict control and reduction of the use of pollutants, and the effective utilization of waste products. LINTEC is especially committed to reducing the use of organic solvents in the coating process for release agents and adhesives. We are moving forward aggressively with such measures as the introduction of solvent-less silicon coater heads and a specialized emulsion-type adhesive coater, and the installation of exhaust gas processing equipment. These efforts are already showing significant results.
